the dark light

Your dark light shines on my body
And you show me another way
You show me another way to think
You show me the site of myself previously forgotten
You show me how much you can see in the dark light
As my vision adjusts I can see more clearly than before
I close my eyes and visualize
A new world long lost in our rediscovered

You light candles in a symbol to the gods
My good deed has now come back three fold
With just us two I do not lack a third
Our palms just barely touch and I can feel your aura pure as day
The dark and light you shine so brightly

In your arms I know I’m safe from all bad things
In your arms I trust my body mind and soul
In your arms I can feel the power of the altar you have made
In your arms I can listen to the melody the earth makes
In your arms the symphony of the moon is heard tenfold
In your arms I feel as part of the earth and moon united

When I leave the dark light you dwell in disappears and I am blinded by my own light
Soon I adjust
But in that split second I long for the comfort of your dark light
That which seeps from your very being

I put it in a bottle to save for another time
A time when I need you and cannot have you
A time when I’m longing for you but you are out of my reach
A time when I wish to feel closer to you, to understand you
A time when I can’t stand being so bright

And release that dark light dwelling it for awhile
